Mortal Instruments: review

Don’t miss The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, soon to be a major motion picture in theaters August 2013.
Clary Fray is thrown into the mythical world of the nephilim. The story starts with Clary stumbling upon something that no one else can see. While she see's three teenage kids that just killed a blue haired kid, the only thing anyone else see's is her talking to herself. Why can't anyone else see them?
Clary soon finds out just what is going on, but now that she knows what does she do. Jace, who she met at the pandemonium, helps her find her way, and clary just can't help but slowly fall for him. He drives her insane, is arrogant, sarcastic, and amazingly good looking.
Jace can't help but want to help clary find and save her mother. He tells himself it's his job, but everyone knows it's a lie, and with everything going on in Clary's life she is ultimately blind when it comes to her best friends true felling for her.
City of Bones is an exciting thriller that has anything from angels and demons to vampires and werewolves, and some new mythical creatures that we may not of heard of before. This book starts off with the action. The characters are always on the move. City of bones has a of fantasy in it, but there is enough truth to it; so as, not to differentiate to unbelievable witch can be hard to do sometimes.

Clary Fray just wishes that her life would go back to normal. But what's normal when you're a demon-slaying Shadowhunter, your mother is in a magically induced coma, and you can suddenly see Downworlders like werewolves, vampires, and faeries? If Clary left the world of the Shadowhunters behind, it would mean more time with her best friend, Simon, who's becoming more than a friend. But the Shadowhunting world isn't ready to let her go—especially her handsome, infuriating, newfound brother, Jace. And Clary's only chance to help her mother is to track down rogue Shadowhunter Valentine, who is probably insane, certainly evil—and also her father. To complicate matters, someone in New York City is murdering Downworlder children. Is Valentine behind the killings—and if he is, what is he trying to do? When the second of the Mortal Instruments, the Soul-Sword, is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor arrives to investigate and zooms right in on Jace. How can Clary stop Valentine if Jace is willing to betray everything he believes in to help their father? In this breathtaking sequel to City of Bones, Cassandra Clare lures her readers back into the dark grip of New York City's Downworld, where love is never safe and power becomes the deadliest temptation.

To save her mother’s life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters—never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight. As Clary uncovers more about her family’s past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he’s willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City—whatever the cost? Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the third installment of bestselling series the Mortal Instruments.

4th book in lux series teasers

Origin

Alright so finding teasers for this book was a little hard, but I'm going t keep a look out for any changes and keep you updates on all thing Lux.

All the pent up, helpless rage formed a wrecking ball inside of me. Maintaining human form was near impossible. I wanted to hit something—destroy something. I needed to.
“Daemon, no one—”
“Shut up,” I said, turning to where Matthew sat in the corner of the room. Right this moment I wanted to destroy him. “Just shut the hell up.”

The shadow pulled away, moving forward quickly. My first instinct screamed Arum and to push away from it. I reached blindly for the obsidian necklace, realizing too late I didn’t have it anymore.
“You’re still having nightmares,” the shadow said.
At the sound of the familiar voice, fear gave way to rage so potent that it tasted like a battery acid. I was on my feet before I knew it.
“Blake,” I spat.

***

“We can’t lose you,” she said after a few moments of awkward as hell silence. “You have to understand that we aren’t doing this because we don’t care about Kat. We’re doing this because we love you.”
“But I love her,” I said without hesitation.
Dee’s eyes widened, probably since it was the first time she’d heard me say it out loud, well, about anyone other
than my family. I wished I had said it more often, especially to Kat. Funny how that kind of shit always turns out in the end. While you’re deep in something, you never say or do what you need to. It’s always after the fact, when it’s too late that you realize what you’ve should’ve said or done.
It couldn’t be too late. I knew that. The fact that I was still alive was testament to that. Like Dee said, though, there were worse things than death.

This book is due to come out on August 27,2013!!
This date may change over time. There has been talk about it coming out in July, but I'm not sure if it's true or just talk.
Hope you enjoyed these little teaser. Check out other post and comment on anything you might want me to review or get teasers for.
