The Shadow Project

The shadow project

Danny Lipman is a thief . . . until one night he robs the wrong house. He inadvertently breaks into the headquarters of the Shadow Project, a secret government organization where teenage spies are trained to leave their bodies, using astral projection to travel around the world on deadly missions.
Danny is captured, but the Project leaders quickly realize he has a special gift. And when a key operative—the director's daughter, Opal—goes missing, he is offered a choice: join the Shadow Project or go to jail.
Danny joins and is quickly sent to investigate the Project's current target: a worldwide terrorist organization known as the Sword of Wrath. But as he gets deeper in, he discovers both the Project and the Sword of Wrath are far more than they seem. Danny and his fellow operatives are caught up in an ancient supernatural conflict and will have to learn how to survive in a world without boundaries of space or time, where the wrong choice could be their last.

My thoughts

Okay first off this book is extremely hard to keep up with. I don't know if it is the really technical words, or if it was just the way it's written. I had to go back a few times and reread sometimes. I also had trouble keeping interest in certain parts of the book, but in other parts I didn't want to put the book down. I don't really know what that means about this book.
Okay, so this book is about a boy named Danny Lipman. Danny is really smart and even was invited to an interview at Cambridge for a scholarship, But Danny has some issues in his life. He comes from a poorer part of the community. Danny has a habit of stealing. One day he stumbles apon a book case with a hidden elevator that leads Danny into a whole new world and everything that should be impossible.
What Danny has found is a top secret facility called the Shadow Project. Here they use teenagers as spy's, but with a twist. The reason they use teenagers is because their minds are more open, and that what the need to do an out of body experience, or OOBE. The OOBE is were you come out of tour physical body, and can transport all over the world. Your basically a ghost in your second body so no one can see or hear. This also means that no one can hurt you until all of what they knew was turned around.
Now a demon is after opal, and Danny want's nothing more to protect. To do so they have to trust Michel, the prince of his people. For Danny that's a little hard. They must travel to a second world in their second bodies to protest opal. They must find the spear that controls the demon in this  world and kill it the other world, witch is also called the astral planes. The world is the same as ours, but also very different. Though it may look the same fire can not burn you and the ground is only what you imagine it to be.
The book wasn't bad I just had few problems here and there, and you know understanding it.  I'm going to have to give this book two stars. Meaning it might be good to reading spare time if there's nothing better.
